Ground Events at Hatfield Park

Hatfield Park’s Queen Elizabeth Oak Field and Showground provide flat, open, and well-maintained space for a wide range of public events. With multiple access points and seven miles of hardstanding internal roads, the site offers considerable flexibility for event planning and access.

For events requiring a private space, George’s Field includes a 100m x 50m marquee pad, dedicated parking, mains water, a designated access route, and adjacent production hardstanding. There are also opportunities for external food and beverage provision.

Located 21 miles from central London and just outside the M25, Hatfield Park is easily reached via the A1(M), M1, and mainline rail. Hatfield railway station sits directly opposite the main pedestrian entrance, while fast trains from London King’s Cross to Hatfield take 26 minutes.

Our largest event site is a picturesque 10-minute walk from the gates across the Park, combining convenient access with a beautiful countryside setting.

Our experienced events team works with organisers to help ensure events are carefully planned and run smoothly, supported by established relationships with the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and experienced support teams.

Hatfield Park has welcomed large-scale outdoor events including Slam Dunk and Folk by the Oak, which have brought live music and large audiences to the Queen Elizabeth Oak Field and Showground.

With extensive open parkland and established event infrastructure, the grounds offer a distinctive setting for every type of event.
