The Hatfield House Archives & Collections Department are responsible for the care and management of the Cecil family’s archive, library, and objects collections. The archives hold material from and relating to members of the Cecil family and their estates and businesses, and are made available to family, staff, and, where appropriate, academic researchers. Accessing the Archives & Library

The Archives & Library at Hatfield House are privately funded and managed. The collections are available by appointment to suitably qualified researchers, and a daily fee of £30, inclusive of VAT, is payable in advance of your visit.

Reprographics

Many of our popular images can be supplied and licensed by Bridgeman Images. Please visit www.bridgemanimages.com/en/ and search for the image you require.

For those images not licensed through Bridgeman, please email to enquire as to whether a particular painting or manuscript has been digitised. All images are held in digital format at specific dimensions which will be declared upon request.
