Apple Trees

Last week the garden team grafted the first 78 apple trees which will be planted into our new Hertfordshire Orchard within the walls of the historic walled garden.

We are planning on planting the 130 trees this Autumn with a further 300 over the next 2 years. This will act as a gene bank for the fruit trees which have been developed or discovered in Hertfordshire.
