A Palace Visit with Santa

Join us this festive season for a unique experience with our very own Santa Claus.

Embark on a seasonal journey aboard our fairy-lit tractor trailer, where accompanied by our children’s storyteller, visitors of all ages will hear the enchanting tale of Santa’s lost reindeer—brought to life through festive sculptures crafted from recycled materials by our talented Park and Gardens Team.

Then, together, you’ll walk through the West Garden to meet Santa himself in the cosy, storybook setting of the Upper Solar Room. Set against the backdrop of a beautiful fireplace, your little one, along with participants of any age, will have the chance to have their picture taken with Santa and choose a Hatfield Park-branded gift as a special memento of this joyful occasion.

Whether you’re bringing a child or simply embracing the festive spirit yourself, this is a rare opportunity to meet Santa in a truly special and historic location.

This experience is recommended for ages 3+.

Accessible Sessions

We want everyone to enjoy our A Palace Visit with Santa experience. To support this, we’re offering accessible sessions on selected dates. These sessions will follow a level walking route as a delightful alternative to our fairy-lit tractor trailer and Santa will welcome guests in the beautiful Lower Solar Room of the Old Palace.

Accessible sessions can be available on Saturday 6th December, Saturday 13th December and Saturday 20th December. If you would like to book an accessible session, please contact visitors@hatfield-house.co.uk for details.

Pushchairs

Pushchairs are permitted on our fairy-lit tractor trailer only if there is sufficient capacity. If space is unavailable, we have a dedicated area in the Stable Yard where you can leave your pushchair for the duration of the experience.
