Sweet Chestnuts In The Park

We have spotted some Sweet Chestnuts, among the autumn leaves on the Woodland floor.

Regularly seen as a roasted Christmas treat here in the UK, you may spot some Sweet Chestnuts while you’re out and about on your Autumn Walks. Sweet Chestnuts are a rich source of Vitamins C and B, with minerals including magnesium, potassium and iron.

If you do decide to go foraging, make sure you leave some for the local wildlife. These are often fed on by red squirrels and other small wildlife, in preparation for hibernation through the Winter.
