A Decade of Growth at the Great North Business Centre

On 1st February 2015, Hatfield Park handed over the keys to North Place to Richard Peeters. Starting from humble beginnings, it’s remarkable to reflect on the transformation that has occurred over the last ten years.

Richard’s vision for the Great North Business Centre (GNBC) has been truly inspiring. From its inception as a potential single office for his lettings business, GNBC has blossomed into a thriving hub for small businesses and start-ups. The two listed buildings on Great North Road, opposite Hatfield railway station, now house 30 serviced offices, providing essential support and services to a diverse range of enterprises.

Lord Salisbury, Anthony Downs Estate Director and Philip Brimley, Head of Property for Hatfield Park were privileged to join Richard and his GNBC team of Bhadra O’Reilly, Ashil Lukose and Daniel Peeters in celebrating this significant milestone recently. The cake-cutting ceremony, the champagne toast, and the opportunity to engage with the businesses within GNBC underscored the centre’s vital role in the local economy.

Lord Salisbury is highly supportive of small businesses in Hertfordshire, and explained to the gathering that, early in 2015 when the property was first leased to Mr Peeters he thought it was “rather a courageous step” and that he is very pleased that it has worked out well.

The success of GNBC is a testament to Richard’s leadership, the dedication of his team, and the collaborative spirit fostered within the centre.
