Long-Lost Skirt Of Elizabeth Ist Found In Herefordshire.
For hundreds of years an altar cloth has been overlooked in a Herefordshire parish church….
This cloth has now been identified as the only surviving piece of clothing worn by Elizabeth I.
The pattern on the material strikingly resembles that on the bodice worn by Elizabeth in the so-called Rainbow Portrait of 1602 which now hangs in the Marble Hall here at Hatfield House.
