This October half-term, Hatfield Park invites you to dust off your broomsticks and join us for a spook-tacular adventure at Witches & Wizards Week! 🧙♀️✨ From enchanted forests to wicked workshops, this is one family-friendly event witch you will not want to miss.
Haunted Forest – Bigger, spookier, and more magical!
Venture deep into the Haunted Forest, where things go bump in the night (and day)! As you walk through the eerie woods, discover bewitching creatures, magical scenes, and ghostly surprises. Created from recycled materials by one of our talented Garden Team – the wonderfully creative Sarah Ruggeri – this year’s forest is spookier than ever before! Will you be brave enough to face the enchanted woodland trail? Get your wellies on and find out! 🌲🧟♂️
The Haunted Forest is included with your Park and Garden ticket and will be open throughout Witches & Wizards Week.
Witches & Wizards hat-building workshop – Craft your own magic!
Grab your little spellcasters and head to the Motor House from Saturday 26th to Thursday 31st October for a drop-in hat-building workshop! Whether you’re a brave witch or a powerful wizard, no magical adventure is complete without a fabulous hat to top off your look! 🧙♂️🧙♀️
Our crafting experts will guide you through the process, letting your imaginations run wild as you decorate and build your own witch or wizard hat to take home or why not wear it through the haunted forest. It’s a hands-on experience that’s fun for all ages—and no two hats are ever the same!
The workshop runs from 11am – 5pm, so come along any time, and let the magic begin!
There will be a £7 supplementary charge for each creation.
Wicked Old Palace tours – Discover the ghostly secrets of the Old Palace!
From Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd November, step back in time with the mysterious Lady Georgina, who will lead you through the Old Palace and share spine-tingling tales of Hatfield House’s eerie past. Find out the secrets of this historic estate while uncovering ghostly stories from days gone by. 👻
Do you dare to hear the whispers of history? This immersive tour is perfect for the curious and the brave!

End your magical adventure on a high note with our spooky cinema club, where we’ll be showing all your favourite Witch & Wizard featured films! We will be showing: Wizard of Oz 🌪️🧙♀️ Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ⚡🏆Hocus Pocus 🎃✨🎬🍿 Bring the whole family, grab a seat, and get cozy as you enjoy classic Halloween fun in the hauntingly beautiful setting of Hatfield Park.
