Celebrating The Legacy Of Lord Burghley
Wednesday 22nd June, saw Westminster Abbey filled with people in celebration of William Cecil, Lord Burghley and his legacy. HRH Princess Alexandra attended the Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the lasting legacy with Lord Barnard, Viscount Cranborne and the Marquess of Salisbury giving readings. The prayers were led by the Reverend Mark Birch, Minor Canon and Precentor.
The service was sung by the Westminster Abbey Special Service Choir, conducted by James O’Donnell, Organist and Master of the Choristers. The organ was played by Matthew Jorysz, Assistant Organist. There were performances by London Viols before and during the service.
