Conference Venue FAQs
From high-profile conferences and corporate celebrations to team-building days and private functions, Hatfield Park offers inspiring spaces for every kind of gathering.
The Old Palace can host up to 280 seated guests or 300 standing/theatre style, while The Riding School accommodates up to 100 seated guests or 150 standing/theatre style.
Final capacity depends on your preferred room layout – our experienced events team can help you plan the perfect set-up.
Yes – we can hold a provisional date for one week while you finalise your booking and pay the deposit.
For Day Delegate Rate conferences, standard hire is 9am–5pm, but we can adjust timings (for example, 8am–4pm) to suit your agenda.
Events running over eight hours in a single day may incur additional charges.
Yes – our dedicated events team is here to help every step of the way, from recommending trusted suppliers to coordinating the finer details on the day itself.
Yes – our Park and Gardens offer acres of space for fresh-air thinking and memorable team-building activities.
We offer a choice of settings – and all can be tailored to your requirements.
The Riding School – with its modern style – is ideal for workshops and networking, while The Old Palace provides a grand, historic backdrop for panels, seminars and gala dinners.
We offer the following unique spaces:
- The Motor House – Built in 1914 and located in the Stable Yard, the Motor House has a light, airy atmosphere and a warm, welcoming feel, enhanced by its wooden floor.
- The Upper Solar Room – An exquisite room in the Old Palace with stunning park views.
- The Lower Solar Room – A versatile, cosy space with a beautiful fireplace.
Yes – we have breakout rooms for smaller sessions and workshops.

We’re less than 30 minutes from Central London and around an hour from Cambridge by train.

Parking is plentiful and free for attendees.
Yes – all on-site parking at Hatfield Park is free for conference and event attendees.
Yes – coach parking is close to The Old Palace and The Stable Yard.
Yes – disabled parking is located in the main Visitor Car Park, accessed via George’s Gate.
We can recommend a list of trusted suppliers, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
Yes – our approved catering partner offers everything from sit-down meals to luxury buffets, with menus tailored to all dietary requirements, including vegan and halal.
Yes – our experienced event staff will be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Yes – for in-house catered events. For dry hire, guests are responsible for providing their own.
