It’s also the perfect point for a photo opportunity\, which we can send you as a memento of your day. \nFinally\, after you’ve honed your hive-handling technique\, it’s time to relax with a honey-tasting session\, featuring a pre-prepared selection of local honeys to savour. \nIt’s the perfect experience for anyone that finds bees fascinating or is even thinking of keeping their own bees and would like to know more. On arrival\, you will be offered a hot or cold drink and a pastry or cake\, with another hot or cold drink at the break. At lunch\, you will be treated to a main\, dessert and drink from the restaurant. In addition\, guests will receive a honey tasting session and a beekeeping goody bag including a jar of Hatfield Park honey and a beeswax candle. \nWHAT DO I NEED TO BRING/WEAR?\nAttendees must wear or bring to change into: a long-sleeved top\, full-length trousers and closed footwear that goes above the ankle\, such as walking boots. All protective equipment needed to work with the bees will be provided for you. \nWHO CAN ATTEND?\nMinimum age 16 – though in that case a parent/guardian may have to sign the waiver. \nWHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS UNSUITABLE?\nIf it is raining\, below 15c\, or very windy we won’t be able to open the bees. This may mean that the course is postponed at short notice. If your course is cancelled by us\, we’ll try our best to find you a suitable alternative date. If we’re unable to\, we’ll refund your payment in full. \nWHAT COVID MEASURES ARE IN PLACE?\nCOVID measures will be in place subject to legislation at the time. \nWe’ll send you an email two weeks before your course with all information you need with regards to entrances\, parking\, the timetable and more.
